چکیده

Abstract Aims patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS) experience an increase in left ventricular filling pressure. This leads to changes the structure and a deterioration function of (LA) right (RA) atrium. Patients undergoing TAVI usually reduction pressure ventricle, thereby decreasing wall tension atria retrograde way. The aim this study was demonstrate that AS, TAVI, positive remodeling atrium, improvement their function. Methods results we enrolled 38 symptomatic AS (mean age 84,75 ± 12 years, 60% male, pre-TAVI valve area 0.75 0.25 cm2 mean gradient 47,96 23 mmHg). 2D transthoracic echocardiography speckle tracking at baseline months follow up were performed. variation continuous variables evaluated using Student's T test for paired data. P values < 0.05 considered significant. When compared baseline, statistically significant observed RA strain (p 0.001) LA (biplane) reservoir, conduction contraction 0.001, p 0.012 respectively). FE increased significantly (26.01 9.16 vs 32.66 10.95; 0.001). After reservoir/end systolic volume ratio by 0.33 0.18 0.49 0.26 > Left atrial end-systolic end-diastolic decreased Conclusion within after there reverse condunction Also, ratio.

Left ventricular remodeling after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI)

Background Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) offers a minimal invasive option for the treatment of patients with severe aortic stenosis at high risk for conventional surgery. The objective of this study was to investigate whether there is a positive effect on the left ventricular remodeling 6 month after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) using cardiac magnetic resonanc...

Left atrial remodelling following transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR)

Background Left atrial (LA) size is a marker of poor prognosis in a variety of cardiovascular conditions. Severe aortic stenosis results in elevated LV afterload with compensatory hypertrophy and increased filling pressures. This is associated with progressive left atrial enlargement and dysfunction. Intervention for aortic stenosis results in LV reverse remodelling, however the effect of TAVI ...

Improvement of left atrial function and left atrial reverse remodeling after surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation.

Two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (2D-STE) is an emerging technology for the evaluation of left atrial (LA) function. This technique is feasible, overcomes the limitations of tissue Doppler imaging and has been demonstrated to accurately assess atrial function during the different phases of the cardiac cycle (1). Atrial structural and electrical remodeling are the hallmarks of a...

Echocardiographic [correction of Ehocardiographic] evaluation of regional left atrial function after rapid atrial pacing.

Rapid regular atrial pacing (RAP) produces changes in atrial function similar to those caused by atrial fibrillation in animal models. Left atrial appendage (LAA) function represents regional atrial function. The aim of our study was to investigate the influence of RAP on left atrial regional function and to evaluate the reversibility of changes after termination of pacing in a canine model. Ei...
